In world history Islamic teaching has always been a bright horizon. The knowledge of the divine message begins through the inspiration from Islamic teaching. The Islamic way of life, the chosen one by Allah(SWT), is a unique model.

The foundation of prophetic teaching was laid down by Rasulullah (SAW) at the Dar-e-Arqum in Macca, the Moszid-e-Nabbi in Madina and its surrounding Suffas. After the demise of Rasulullah (SAW) his companions (R.A.) and later the Muslim scholars had preserved,  and spread that teaching gradually.

The Madrashas in Bangladesh are strongly connected with this chain, where ongoing efforts are still made to preserve the Deen and teach this Deen in establishments collective known as Qawmi Madrasha. Indeed, these Madrashas in our country have kept the torch of Iman & Deen alive. With the inclusion of Dhawa- Tablig, Hidaya-Irshad, Talim-Ta’allum,Durs-Tadris, Ta’alif-Tashnif, Isha’th-Kithab’th, Tasa’uf-Ihsan, Tariqat-Tajkia and Siasath-Kiadath there are many fields that are covered within the framework. Qawmi Madrashas are well recognised for their contribution in the propagation and expansion of Islam, resisting all the anti-Islamic ideology and preserving Islamic traditions among common people.

In 1941 a disciple and Caliph of the pioneer of Darul Uloom, Deoband Shaikhul Hadith Syed Hussain Ahmed Madani (R:), and a  brave general of spiritual world, empire of saints, Kutbe Dawran Hazrat Moulana Shaykh Luthfur Rahman (Alam) Bornabi (R:) established “Jamia Lutfia Anwarul Uloom Hamidnogor Boruna Madrasha”. His intention was to make an effort in adorning society with the virtues of humanity by creating the religious consciousness among people to make them strong in morally and in character. Above all, his dream was to bring them spiritually closer to Allah.

He made the Madrasha a prosperous centre for Islamic education. From  primary level up to the highest degree (Takmil Fhil Hadith (Title)) classes, he opened departments for Hifz, Tajweed, Fatwah, and other important departments. As a result, the overall social environment of the area had changed. Where there was darkness, a glow of light had enlightened the area. Under the foreseeable leadership of Allama Sheikh Khalilur Rahman Hamidi, son of Bornabi (R.) there are more than 1000 students at present acquiring religious and worldly knowledge with full care and attention. There are 55 well qualified teachers who teach and monitor student progress. Alhamdulillah the Madrasha is progressing day by day and moving forward to achieve its main goals.
