The Ambulance Service and Hefazothe Islam Free Medical Centre
To reduce the sorrows and pains of poor and destitute people, the Prophet(SAW) was the model for whole of mankind. The words uttered by the mother of believers Hazrat Khadijah (R.A.) portrayed that picture. After the first revelation of the divine message in the cave of Hira, Prophet (SAW) full of fear went to the house of Khadijah(Rah:) and told her the story of what happened in that cave. Khadijah(R.A.) comforted him and said, “ By Allah, He will never disgrace or degrade you as you keep family ties intact, take the responsibility of poor and weak on your shoulder. You help them, fulfil the needs of needy people, entertain guests and you support justice and truth.” The Prophet (SAW) said, “ He who does not show kindness to human beings, Allah will not show kindness to him”.
The companions (R.A.) of the Prophet (SAW) and great Muslim scholars had shown respect and successfully practised upon the Sunnah and Hadiths of Prophet (SAW). There are many examples of charitable services towards mankind in their lives. Humans should be for the well-being of fellow humans and this is the tradition and speciality of Muslims. However it is very sad to see that nowadays the nation of Muslims has forgotten and/or has become negligent in carrying out this great responsibility and the non-Muslims and others are taking advantage of this opportunity. In the name of service and help they are trying to destroy the Iman of Muslims, especially in the poor Muslim countries/regions. Bangladesh is a Muslim majority country where the majority of the population people are suffering from poverty.
In this favourable condition for missionaries (so-called NGOs), these groups are uprooting the Iman/ Aqidah, Values/Traditions and Tahjeed/Tamaddun of the simple and easy-going people of our country in the name of help and service. They are planting the seeds of the aesthetics, nudity and shameless acts and many men and women, especially the jobless young people fall prey to them unfortunately
Today it looks like the whole nation is imprisoned by this dangerous conspiracy. After considering the worrying consequences of this situation, Hefazothe Islam is working in an effort to motivate and inspire the Muslim Ummah towards the great Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW) to serve humanity. Getting special co-operation from the members of Hefazothe-Islam UK, Al-hamdulillah ambulance services and Zam-Zam free Medical Center has started with three ambulances to carry patients and corpse.
The name of these two organizations that are run under the name of Jamia Lutfia and Hefazothe Islam has spread throughout the country. Many helpless, poor and ill people are getting services through them including medication, funeral aids, rehabilitations, establishment of Mosques, help for widows & orphans, vocational training and rehabilitations for new Muslims.
Many other service programs are also run by these organizations. Sometimes it provides free treatment and medicine for the poor and helpless with experienced doctors. At other times, during natural disasters, it sends medical teams and aid to the affected areas. It regularly distributes rickshaws, tube wells, sanitary toilets, materials and wheelchairs amongst the poor.
